New Zealand is known for its gin clear rivers and big trout. Anglers flock here every year in the hope of catching the fish of their life and many return home humbled and empty handed.
Social media would have you believe that it is a regular occurrence but to actually target very large fish is a tricky, time consuming and expensive thing to try and achieve!

Not only did we achieve that, we exceeded all our expectations!

As the weather closed in and the river rose, we experienced some of the craziest fishing I have ever been a part of. The cold, snow covered mountains and icy rain set a moody vibe as we did battle with huge brown trout at the bottom end of the world!
